Christopher Maurice Brown is an American singer, songwriter, rapper, dancer, and actor. A hip-hop and pop-influenced R&B musician who works in a variety of genres, he has been called the "King of R&B" by some contemporaries. His lyrics often address emotional and hedonistic themes. Releases his self-titled debut album at 16. "Run It!" hits No. 1, making him the youngest male solo artist to debut at the top of the Hot 100 since 1995. Jive Records calls him the next Michael Jackson.

2009 Event

Arrested for assaulting Rihanna on the eve of the Grammy Awards. The LAPD photo of her injuries leaks. He pleads guilty to felony assault, receives five years probation and community service. His image never fully recovers.

2011 Event

F.A.M.E. debuts at No. 1 and wins the Grammy for Best R&B Album. That same week he destroys a dressing room window at Good Morning America after being asked about the assault. Glass falls onto the street below.

2017 Event

Heartbreak on a Full Moon arrives as a 45-track double album. It runs over two and a half hours. Critics call it excessive. It still goes platinum.
