Biography

Till Lindemann is a German singer-songwriter and poet, best known as the lead vocalist and lyricist of the Neue Deutsche Härte band Rammstein. Renowned for his theatrical stage performances, poetic lyrics, and distinctive bass-baritone voice, he is a central figure in the band’s international success. He was also part of the musical project Lindemann before beginning to release music under his own name. He has appeared in several films in minor roles and has published three books of poetry.

Life

Published two books of poetry. Also a certified pyrotechnician. Performed onstage with face-mounted flamethrowers, burning coats, and a cooking pot that set audience members' tables ablaze. Never seriously injured.

1994 Event

Co-founded Rammstein in Berlin after German reunification. The band fused industrial metal with German lyrics and elaborate pyrotechnics. Lindemann's baritone vocals, delivered entirely in German, crossed language barriers.

1997 Event

Rammstein's second album Sehnsucht debuted at number one in Germany and cracked the U.S. Billboard 200. The song "Du Hast" became their international breakthrough. Their live shows featured Lindemann literally on fire.
